Ravenscraig Former Steel Works

HEL have been involved for more than 20 years with the re-development of the former steelworks at Ravenscraig, one of Europe’s largest brownfield sites. This has involved numerous diverse ecological surveys to inform on various iterations of the Project Masterplan, Area Planning Briefs, EcIAs, protected species licensing and management plans as well as on-site habitat creation, mitigation works and translocation of protected and important species/habitats. We are the retained ECoW for the project and provide advice on current and future ecological risk to development.
