Fish Survey and Assessment

Heritage Ecological have an in-house team of fisheries specialists who are all SFCC accredited to undertake electrofishing. We also complete fish assessments, including detailed habitat surveys, for a number of purposes, including EcIAs for wind farms and hydro schemes.

Water quality assessments are undertaken as part of detailed fish assessments. These include a range of chemical analyses for environmental variables, conductivity and dissolved oxygen testing, and kick-sampling for invertebrates.
