Preliminary Ecological Appraisal (PEA)

 

Heritage Ecological provide Preliminary Ecological Assessment (PEA) as a first step in preparing EcIAs for Projects.  The process includes:

 

• Stage 1 Desk Study to provide background data and review of site designations;
• Stage 2 Ecological Walkover Survey to undertake an initial habitat survey and protected species survey;
• Recommendations for Stage 3 Specialist Ecological Surveys;
• Identification of mitigation/compensation measures that may be required; and
• Opportunities for biodiversity enhancement.
